My name is Nikita Sorgatz, I currently work as a researcher at the Robert K. Merton Center for Science Studies in Berlin. Before, I was a researcher in the bibliometrics unit of DZHW.

I have been interested in the impact economists have on society ever since I started my bachelor in economics at Freie Universität Berlin in the wake of the great financial crisis. I decided to study economists rather than to become one myself, so I began a masters in science studies at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. I wrote a masters thesis on the debate on gender differences in behavioral economics.

My research interests include:

  • performativity of economics
  • political economy of science and technology
  • sociology of valuation and evaluation
